SEV VALLEY MATCHA
From shade-grown tencha to slow stone-ground powder, our matcha spans ceremonial, beverage and culinary grades — each lot traceable, lab-tested for heavy metals, and milled to order from the Qinling Selenium Valley for peak color, aroma and umami.
Matcha Grown in the Mist, Ground in Stone
Our tencha is shade-grown at high altitude in the pollution-free Qinling Selenium Valley — a region whose selenium-rich soil naturally enhances the tea’s color, umami and antioxidant value.
Leaves are hand-tended under shade for weeks before harvest, then transformed within hours: steamed, de-veined, air-dried and slowly stone-ground at low temperature to protect the vivid green and delicate nutrients.

How Our Matcha Is Made
Six controlled steps from shaded field to nitrogen-sealed powder — low-temperature processing that protects color, aroma and nutrients.
1
Shade-Grown Cultivation
20–30 days before harvest, shade covers raise chlorophyll and L-theanine while the spring leaf is hand-picked at its tenderest.
2
Steaming
Leaves are steamed within hours to lock in vivid green color and nutrients with zero oxidation — the signature matcha step.
3
Oven Drying
Hot-air drying turns steamed leaf into tencha — the loose, dried leaf that becomes matcha.
4
Removing Stems
Stems and veins are separated out so only the pure leaf is ground — smoother texture, cleaner taste.
5
Stone-Grinding
Granite mills turn slowly at low temperature, yielding ~40 g/hour of ultra-fine, aromatic powder without heat damage.
6
Sieving & Nitrogen Packing
Powder is sifted for uniform fineness, then flushed with nitrogen and sealed in opaque, low-oxygen packs to protect freshness.
